Find the latest tracks, albums, and images from Fotomaker. Fotomaker was a power pop group based on Long Island, NY which released 3 albums between 1978-79. It was considered to be somewhat of a supergroup of power-pop musicians, featuring what would become some future members of the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, albeit for their work with previous bands. The Fotomaker Collection. With two members stemming from the Rascals, Fotomaker sang tightly polished poprock songs, complete with catchy choruses and ample guitar work, but never really came to fruition outside of New York. All three of their albums, Fotomaker, Vis-A-Vis, and Transfer Station contribute to the 16 tracks on this all-you-need collection. As substance is sparse in their music, they aren't without some attractive hooks, and some of their love songs do merit creativity. Wally Bryson, who used to be in the Raspberries, adds a splash of talent that is welcomed on many of the tracks. Still, Fotomaker was never quite able to break out beyond the power pop cult, and Bryson left the group to return to Cleveland in mid-1979. Vinci assumed lead vocal duties for the final Fotomaker album, 1979's Transfer Station, but faced with diminishing returns, the group elected to call it a day.
